The logo of
History Centre is an official symbol of the Department
as written on the approval Memorandum from Ministry
of Culture, Youth & Sport, Reference: (27) KKBS
1.5 dated 3rd March 1984.
The logo and carvings inside the
circle are originally from the seal used by His
Royal Highness Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Omar Ali
Saifuddin II (1828-1852). The colours used in this
logo are similar to the colours of the national
flag of Brunei Darussalam, i.e. yellow, white and
black.
The scroll has a Brunei traditional
design called air muleh which symbolise the
Bruneian gentle and courteous characters. Keramunting
flower considered to be a symbol of satisfaction.
The logo was designed by Awang
Haji Salleh bin Haji Ibrahim.
